🔐 Finding us at Boat Quay

Q1. Where do I find the group at BQ Bar?
BQ Bar is at 39 Boat Quay. Our reserved area is the sidewalk seating out the front, facing the river — not inside. If you cannot spot the name tags, ask the bar staff for the Lounge Asia meetup.

Q2. How do I get to Boat Quay?
Clarke Quay MRT is about 5 minutes on foot, and Raffles Place is a similar walk from the other direction. Boat Quay is the row of shophouses along the river, so once you are on the water you are almost there.

Q3. How often does Singapore run?
Every second Saturday, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Note that Meetup sometimes lists our Singapore events on other days because of how the group calendar works — the fortnightly Saturday is the real schedule.

Q4. Why is the fee in Australian dollars?
Lounge Asia is registered in Australia, so Meetup charges in AUD everywhere. Booking early is free; inside the last 24 hours it is A$7, which your card converts to Singapore dollars automatically.

Q5. Who comes along?
Singapore draws one of the most international rooms we have: locals, expats on work passes, people relocated by their company, and regional travellers. Recent nights have had around 59 people booked.

Q6. What should I bring?
Your Meetup booking and a government photo ID. Singapore venues do check, so bring a passport or NRIC rather than a photo of one.

🛡 Safety & Community

Q7. What are the House Rules?
We run a Zero Tolerance Policy:
🚫 No selling: no MLM, insurance pitching, or recruiting — a common one here.
🚫 No harassment: this is not a pickup night.
Violators are removed on the spot.

Q8. Who is hosting in Singapore?
Hunter runs the Boat Quay nights. If he is running late, start without him — the group knows the drill and someone will make sure you are introduced.

Q9. Is this a dating event?
No. Friendship first. It is a cultural exchange and professional networking community, and the room is built for conversation rather than matchmaking.
