Q1. Where do I find the group at Eastern Promise?

Eastern Promise is at Jl. Kemang Raya No.5, South Jakarta. Show your Meetup QR code at reception, collect your name tag, and you are in. If you cannot spot the group, ask the venue staff for the Lounge Asia meetup — our hosts will be there to welcome you.

Q2. How do I get to Kemang?

Kemang has no MRT station, so a ride-hail app (Grab or Gojek) is the simplest way in from anywhere in the city. Put Eastern Promise, Jl. Kemang Raya No.5 into the app and allow extra time in the evening peak — Jakarta traffic is Jakarta traffic.

Q3. How often does Jakarta run, and what time?

Every second Thursday, starting 7:00 pm Jakarta local time. One thing to watch: Lounge Asia's Meetup group is based in Australia, so the app may show the start time in Brisbane time or your own timezone. The 7:00 pm above is the real, local Jakarta start.

Q4. Why is the fee in Australian dollars?

Lounge Asia is registered in Australia, so Meetup charges in AUD everywhere. Booking early is free; inside the last 24 hours it is A$7, which your card converts to Indonesian rupiah automatically.

Q5. Who comes along?

A real mix: Jakartans, expats and people here for work, students, travellers passing through, returnees, and digital nomads. Many guests come on their own, so turning up alone is completely normal — there are no games and no forced introductions, just conversation.

Q6. What should I bring?

Your Meetup QR code and a valid government-issued photo ID — a KTP, passport or driver's licence issued by the government of the country the event is held in. The venue does check, and no photo ID means no entry.

No. Friendship first. It is a cultural exchange and professional networking community, and the room is built for conversation rather than matchmaking.

Q10. Is there a Jakarta community chat?

Yes — we run a Lounge Asia Indonesia WhatsApp group for event news and staying in touch with people you meet on the night. Same house rules apply there as in the room.
